Francoise Charles’ story is one of vision, purpose, determination, resilience, and the power of turning challenges into opportunities. Born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Francoise came to the United States as a young girl, facing the daunting task of adjusting to a new culture and language. Yet, through faith and a tireless work ethic instilled by her mother, she navigated her way to success. Starting her career as a nurse, Francoise quickly transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding successful businesses in healthcare and mental health. Now, as a business coach and author, she’s dedicated to empowering others to build their own legacies. Francoise’s journey from immigrant to CEO is not just inspiring — it’s a testament to what’s possible when you turn obstacles into stepping stones toward greatness.

Please enjoy our interview!

As a first-generation immigrant who has built two successful businesses that address critical gaps in home health and mental health care, what is vital for our readers to know about the journey from immigrant to CEO?

Starting the journey from immigrant to CEO was challenging but incredibly rewarding. As a first-generation immigrant, I arrived with hopes for a brighter future, but also with the determination to build something that would make a difference in people’s lives. I believe the most important thing for readers to know is that it’s possible to turn your challenges into stepping stones. When I entered the healthcare field, I saw first-hand the gaps in home health and mental health services, especially for vulnerable communities. Instead of viewing these gaps as barriers, I recognized them as opportunities to create change and better support those in need.

Another key part of my journey was understanding the power of resilience and adaptability. As immigrants, we often come up against language barriers, cultural differences, and financial obstacles. For me, each step forward required me to not only learn the industry but to reframe those early challenges as fuel for my vision. It took time, but each hurdle strengthened my commitment to offer quality care and build a team dedicated to serving people with compassion.

Finally, I want readers to know that reaching this level of success doesn’t happen alone. I’m deeply grateful for the mentors, friends, and family who supported me and shared in the vision.

Building a business is hard work, but when you’re driven by purpose and a desire to give back, you create something more than a business, you build a legacy.

My story shows that no matter where you start, with faith, persistence, and a willingness to adapt, you can achieve remarkable things. And if I can do it, others can too.

What can you share with us about the impact you have made through your companies, Alliance Home Care VNA and Alliance Lifetime Mental Health?

Through Alliance Home Care VNA and Alliance Lifetime Mental Health, I’ve had the privilege of making an impact that truly changes lives. Both companies were born out of my commitment to fill vital gaps in our healthcare system, ensuring that individuals, no matter their background or resources, have access to compassionate and quality care. At Alliance Home Care, we provide home health services that allow people to recover and thrive within the comfort of their own homes. It’s more than just medical care; it’s about treating people with dignity and respect, honoring their wishes, and helping them maintain independence during vulnerable times.

With Alliance Lifetime Mental Health, my goal has been to address an overwhelming need in mental health services, particularly within underserved communities. We’ve been able to support individuals facing everything from anxiety and depression to complex trauma, helping them to feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.

By prioritizing mental health, we’re not just treating symptoms; we’re building confidence, resilience, and a sense of hope in those who may have felt alone or overlooked.

Congratulations on your book, Immigrant to CEO. What do you hope readers will take away from your story?

Thank you so much for your kind congrats! With Immigrant to CEO, my deepest hope is that readers see what’s possible, no matter where they start. My journey from immigrant to CEO was filled with challenges, but it’s a story of resilience, faith, and the courage to keep pushing forward even when the path wasn’t clear. I want readers, especially other women, immigrants, and anyone who’s ever felt overlooked to feel empowered to pursue their own dreams with confidence.

I hope this book shows that success doesn’t happen overnight, but with determination and a willingness to grow, anyone can overcome setbacks and build something meaningful. If my story inspires even one person to pursue their passion and believe in their own potential, then I have achieved my goal. Remember, where you start doesn’t define where you can go; it’s all about the journey you’re willing to take.

We are in awe of the guidance you provide helping aspiring and established entrepreneurs launch and grow their practices, and businesses. As the Founder of Building Empire Legacy Group, what advice would you have for anyone who aspires to be a leader in the business world?

Thank you so much that truly means a lot to me! At Building Empire Legacy Group, my goal is to help others build something meaningful and sustainable, something that goes beyond just profits and contributes to real impact. For anyone aspiring to lead in business, my advice is this: always stay connected to your purpose. Know why you’re doing, what you’re doing, and let that drive every decision you make.

Also, never underestimate the power of hard work, consistency, and adaptability. Business is not a straight line; it’s about learning, evolving, and embracing challenges with resilience. Build relationships with people who inspire and challenge you, and seek mentorship wherever possible. And remember, success isn’t just measured by what you achieve but by the legacy you’re creating. Build something that not only serves you but also empowers others. That’s how you truly lead in the business world.

In addition to being a successful Entrepreneur, Business Coach and Author, please tell us a super fun fact about yourself that many people are not aware of.

Sure! Here’s something most people don’t know about me, I absolutely love dancing! Growing up in Haiti, music was always a big part of life, and it just stayed with me. No matter how busy things get, I always make time to dance around the house or at any celebration I’m attending. It’s my way of celebrating life and releasing stress. So if there’s music on, you’ll probably find me on the dance floor. It’s my little reminder to stay joyful and present, no matter what’s going on!

As you continue to make your mark in the world, what would you say is your vision and purpose personally and professionally?

My vision, personally and professionally, is all about legacy building something meaningful that outlasts me and lifts others up. I want to be a role model for other immigrant women, especially those who face the same challenges I did, so they know that nothing is impossible. I see my purpose as more than just growing successful businesses; it’s about creating opportunities, particularly in communities like ours that are often overlooked. I want to open doors, provide support, and share my story to inspire others to chase their dreams, even when the path is tough. Ultimately, my goal is to build a legacy of service, empowerment, and resilience that reminds others they can be both successful and a force for good in the world.

Any final thoughts you would like to leave our readers with?

I’d say to anyone reading this: don’t be afraid to dream big, but also, don’t be afraid to work for it. The journey isn’t always easy, and there will be days that challenge everything you believe about yourself. But those moments are what build your character and your strength. Believe in your vision, trust the process, and remember that your story matters. No matter where you’re starting from, you have the power to create a life of impact and purpose. So keep pushing, keep growing, and don’t ever let anyone tell you it can’t be done. You have what it takes to make your dreams a reality.
